For, Lo, The Winter Is Past

IMG_6884

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Song of Songs 2:10 -13 (KJV)

Serotonin rising.

Skepticism fading.

Smiling increasing.

Anger depleting.

Joy returning.

Fear fading.

For the first time in a long time, I noticed that my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard.

For the first time in a long time, someone called back and had an answer other than rejection.

They said “We want you too!” and

that.

feels.

so.

good.

I have direction. I can move forward again.

I can breathe deeply in assurance not anxiety.

I am known.

I am wanted.

I am loved.

God is good.

All the time.

(in the seasons of certainty just as much as times of doubt)

All the time.

God is good.
